I have just finished an order of t-shirts for Web Gui, they are going to be taken to the states and worn at a conference! I think they ended up looking fantastic and I hope they thought so too.

Sand dollars
I have printed my first length of fabric! My inspiration came from a few little sand dollars I found alive while on holidays. I have put my design onto some beautiful cotton and linen fabrics. They are eventually going to be made into little clutches, for my next market which is going to be my first appearance at Rose Street on Sunday the 13th of September.

Button love
The Northcote markets were shared once again with Rhinobones and Mixmasha yesterday. My friend makes beautiful brooches out of buttons. She has a secret love for them and collects them for all over the world, some coming all the way from Spain! Otherwise friends give them to her or she finds pre loved button in second hand shop or op shops and brings them to life again. Each piece is unique, and her colour combinations are carefully selected.

Bike Tool Pouch
Lately I have been working with a friend on developing a bike tool kit pouch for guys to store important bike gear in and for when you just happen to need that bike repair kit! The pouch can be put into your basket, pannier or backpack. It has been a little bit of trial and error but I can tell you that we are getting there. The tool kit is made from a cotton drill and has binding on the outside as well as the seams on the inside. I have put a divided pocket on the inside as well. Its 30cm long which can hold a bike pump, repair kit, inner tube, bike light, gloves, tyre levers and maybe even a little map...
Anyway I'll be again at the Northcote Townhall markets this Saturday 4th July for 10am.

Maket days
Today was spent at the Northcote town hall were I had a market stall and will be having more in the next few weeks. It was rather slow with not many people around but I was quite happy with my set up and display. Hopefully next week will be a little busier.
I shared a table with Amber who has the label rhinobones. She makes lovely resin jewelery including necklaces, bangles and earrings. You can check out her range at www.rhinobones.etsy.com
Come down for a look and chat!

Lately I have been busy working on new prints both for my small purses and for t-shirts. Its been alot of fun but also keeping me quite busy. This is one of my new designs of a bicycle print. I just got a new second hand bike, which i've been cruising around on and I think there will be a bit more of the bike theme coming along. So stay tuned.

Catching the light.
A few weeks ago now I went back to East Gippsland to visit the folks and found myself in Orbost. My mother and farther had put together a small exhibition called "Catching the light" at the Orbost Exhibtion Center. I was very impressed by the photos my dad had put together and the paintings and sculptures my mother had created. The exhibition was centred very much around a sea theme. The photography captured the reflections that came from the water both by the moon and sun light. One of my favorite sculputers was made of differnet pieces of drift wood and had been put together like a sign post. I think they did a great job and hope they exibit again soon.

My Blue Birdie

This is my new small Blue Birdie purse that I have designed and screen-printed for the Twitter exhibition for Red Tractor gallery showing in Nowa Nowa, East Gippsland. It is still growing with heaps of different artists and will be peaking in May. The exhibition features everything and anything to do with birds. I have a number of pieces that will be shown there including bird t-shirt, shoulder bags and the above purse. Check out Red Tractor here http://redtractorart.com.au/twitter/twitter.htm
